Frederick Russell, Vehicular Homicide & Justice At Last

Kelso, Washington – November 6, 2007. In 2001, Frederick Russell slammed into another vehicle head-on. Three Washington State University students in the other vehicle were killed. Russell provided a .128 blood alcohol sample that night, and then fled the country after his initial court appearance.

Russell remained hidden until 2005. Strangely, Russell selected Ireland as a hideout. You would think if you are on the US Marshals Service’s “Most Wanted” list you would choose a more innocuous location. Nevertheless, Russell was caught and the extradition proceedings began. Frederick’s trial concluded and the jury came back with guilty verdicts. Six years after the incident justice has finally come to a close.

The friends and family of Brandon Clements, 22, Stacy Morrow, 21, and Ryan Sorensen, 21, can sleep a little easier knowing Frederick Russell’s escape from justice ultimately failed.
