Nevada Highway Patrol Edward Lattin Charged with Felony DUI

Las Vegas, Nevada. Edward Lattin served twenty years as a trooper with the Nevada Highway Patrol. He attained the rank of sergeant and managed the unit that investigated auto accident fatalities. Ironically, Lattin found himself on the other end of a fatal accident investigation.
Lattin was charged with felony DUI and will be arraigned on September 11, 2008. It is alleged that Lattin was under the influence of marijuana when he plowed into a few cars. One person died from the accident and two others suffered injuries. NHP dismissed Lattin who is facing a mandatory of 20 years in prison if he is found guilty.
