Sturgis Racks Up 167 DUI Arrests for 2008

Rapid City, South Dakota. Each year thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts converge upon Rapid City, South Dakota for Sturgis. State and local enforcement agencies were very busy this year netting 167 DUI arrests.
Police also made 111 drug related arrests, and 22 felony related arrests. On a positive note there were only 42 injury related accidents compared to 46 during the 2007 event.
