Republican State Representative Bob Biggins Guilty of DUI

Bob Biggins DUISangamon County, Illinois – August 5, 2008. State Representative Bob Biggins, 61, was arrested for DUI last Spring, and his criminal court journey has come to an end. Biggins entered a plea of guilty to driving under the influence of intoxicants in Sangamon County District Court.

Biggins’ punishment includes a six month driver’s license suspension, $1,220 in fees and fines, attend a DUI victim impact session and comply with other court imposed conditions for a period of one year. Biggins released the following statement, “I made a serious mistake and I sincerely apologize to my family, my friends, and my community. I accept full responsibility for my actions and accept the full legal consequences.”
