Fayetteville, Arkansas - July 27, 2008. Marques Wade is a sophomore wide receiver for the Arkansas Razorbacks. This weekend he got a little sauced and nearly drove into a police car, and now faces DUI charges.
Wade was speeding through a parking lot and narrowly avoided colliding with a police officer. During the investigation the police allegedly noticed Wade’s eyes were bloodshot. Wade denied drinking intoxicants, but admitted to smoking some marijuana. However, a 0.11 breath test refutes Wade’s denial of consuming alcohol. Arkansas’ DUI legal limit is 0.08.
Wade was released on bond. This marks the fifth arrest of a Razorback football player this year and the college football season has not even started. Way to get the jump on your rivals!
