King County, Washington - July 25, 2008. Karl Solid, 45, is a resident of Bothell, Washington and was sentenced under Washington State’s felony DUI law. Judge Pro Tem Anthony Wartnik had the honor of giving Solid 5 years of prison life. That is the maximum sentence for a class C felony.

A fifth conviction triggers Washington’s felony DUI law. Solid’s last arrest yielded a blood alcohol level of 0.28. That is over three times Washington’s DUI legal limit of 0.08. This was Solid’s ninth DUI conviciton since 1991. Thank goodness this menace is off the streets for a few years.
