May 23, 2008 - Galesburg, Illinois. Gregory Lewis was minding his own business in town when all of a sudden a tractor smashed into his SUV. To his astonishment the tractor did not stop, and Lewis contacted the police. It was not long before the suspect operating the tractor was stopped by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies converge on the lumbering farm equipment and apprehended Scott D. Price, 48.
By the end of the day, Price was facing the following criminal charges and infractions:
- Felony DUI
- Aggravated DUI
- DUI
- Hit and Run
- Felony Driving with Suspended License
- Failure to Yield
When I see such an impressive list of crimes committed during the same occurrence I envision a round of Grand Theft Auto IV or a suspect driving a sports car. Price has opened my eyes. Tractors are not only for farming, but can also be utilized wrecking havoc in town.
