State College, Pennsylvania - March 6, 2008. Andrew Quarless, tight end for Penn State, allegedly ran a red light Thursday night which ended in his arrest for DUI. A State College police office noticed the traffic infraction and conducted a traffic stop.
During the investigation the police officer alleged that Quarless, 19, failed the field sobriety tests. Quarless was processed and then submitted to a test showing a 0.84 blood alcohol content level. Quarless should expect criminal charges for DUI and underage drinking soon.
Joe Paterno, Nittany Lions head coach, suspended Andrew Quarless. The tight end’s tenure at Penn State is becoming quite rocky. Quarless missed two games last season for underage drinking.
