Las Vegas, Nevada. The World Series of Beer Pong was held just a few days ago in Las Vegas. The tournament featured 600 warriors battling for the grand prize of $50,000.
The championship version of Beer Pong is also known as Beirut. Each end of the 2×8 table has ten full keg cups stacked in a pyramid. The goal is to toss your ping pong ball across the table into your opponent’s cups. When you ball lands in your opponent’s cup they must chug the cup of beer. You win by getting rid of each of your opponent’s cups.
The picture below features a more punishing way of playing Beer Pong.

Hey,
I am researching a chapter for Rick Reilly’s new book about crazy sports and he’d like to do a chapter about beer pong, or any drinking game championships. We need to have many teams competing for a prize. We seemed to have missed the one in Vegas this year for $50,000. Anyone know who won that and if we can contact them for questions? Also, when is the next planned event that we could attend and participate?
Also, if you have any directions, other contacts or websites where I might find this type of information.
Thanks for you time and help finding….King Pong of beer tournaments!
