Medina, Washington - December 28, 2007. Warren Moon is known in the Seattle area as an outstanding University of Washington Husky quarterback. He is also known for his stellar NFL career quarterbacking for the Houston Oilers and Seattle Seahawks.
Unfortunately, citizens of the Seattle area also know Warren Moon for his knack for driving under the influence too. Warren was arrested last August for DUI which was reduced to a Negligent Driving in the First Degree charge.
Warren was again arrested for suspicion of DUI in Medina, Washington. Warren was spotted on SR-520 with expired license plate tabs. Though Warren has a valid Texas driver’s license, his privilege to drive in Washington State has been revoked. The arresting officer forwarded his police report to the King County Prosecutor’s Office. They will determine whether or not to file criminal charges against Warren Moon.
At some point this well loved local celebrity athlete will receive more boos than cheers. One DUI arrest can be “excused,” but a second one is alarming. We hope Warren Moon takes a serious look at his lifestyle and the danger he poses to his fans.

I feel as if celebrities have a responsibiliy to maintain a semblance of following the letter of the law. Even one DUI should receive a “boo”.
