Ex-New York Yankee Jim Leyritz Arrested for DUI

Jim Leyritz, former New York Yankee, is in hot water. Leyritz drove his 2006 Ford Expedition into the vehicle of Fredia Ann Veitch. The accident was so violent that Vietch was thrown from her vehicle. She passed away at Broward General Medical Center.
Leyritz was charged with DUI manslaughter and DUI property damage. Police are still waiting for Leyritz’s blood results, but they do suspect alcohol affected Jim’s driving ability. Jim is currently free on a $11,000 bond while awaiting his next court appearance.
